UBC Meal Share Program Vancouver Campus
Food insecurity is an issue that many students face every day, making the difficult choice of paying for their expenses over their food.
In 2019, 33% of students at UBC-V reported low to very low household food security, and visits to emergency food programs continue to rise at an unsustainable rate. Insecure access to the basic necessity of food has an incredible impact on the health and wellbeing of UBC’s student population.
On April 5th, your gift can help ease this burden.
Donor support will reduce food insecurity by providing dignified access to healthy, affordable food through the UBC Vancouver Meal Share Program.
The UBC Meal Share Program provides students experiencing financial barriers with non-repayable funds to access food. A lack of food should not be something students need to think about. Please help support UBC students with a gift today.
“We need this program. Desperately. I actually feel like UBC cares about me and that this university supports students.” -- UBC Meal Share recipient
