Entrance Award in Medicine for Black Students
The UBC Faculty of Medicine recognizes the underrepresentation of Black physicians in BC and is committed to helping remove barriers for Black students in applying to medical school at UBC.
Starting this year, prospective MD students who self-identify as Black or Black multiracial and identify with their Black ancestry can choose to apply to UBC Medicine through the Black Student MD Admissions Pathway for undergraduates. The new pathway will assist applicants in their journey to becoming a doctor and future healthcare leader.
Your gift to the Entrance Award in Medicine for Black Students will recognize students for their academic excellence and provide funding to help alleviate the financial costs associated with their education.
UBC acknowledges health equity depends on having a community of physicians that reflects the social identities represented in BC’s growing population. Support diversity in medical training and make a tangible difference to diversity and inclusivity in our health care system and to the health of our community – give today.
