UBC Okanagan Indigenous Summer Scholars and Leadership Camps
What is like to be part of the university experience? For young Indigenous students going into grades 7-9, the UBC Okanagan Indigenous Summer Scholars Camps are a fun opportunity to learn more about higher education.
The camps bring together Indigenous youth to stay overnight on campus for five days of interactive and holistic programming to help build students’ educational interests and their opportunity to be leaders in their community and schools. Equally important, the camps provide a peer mentorship and leadership development opportunity for UBCO Indigenous students who are employed as Camp Coordinators and Leaders.
Your gift will help support accommodation, events and programming costs, as well as the next generation of Indigenous leaders. Please give today!
