Malcolm Knapp Research Forest Renewal Project
The UBC Malcolm Knapp Research Forest (MKRF) holds a special place in the hearts of many Forestry students and alumni, who often share cherished memories from their practical field school studies.
Today, we face a pressing need for new and expanded facilities to replace aging infrastructure and meet the growing demand for MKRF's exceptional educational, research and public outreach opportunities. You can help! Every gift towards the MRKF renewal project will help contribute to realizing our dream of reimagining the entire entrance area of MKRF. This includes establishing a Welcome & Education Centre and an Outdoor Learning Lab, creating a hub for nature-based research and education. The enhanced facilities will increase access to outdoor educational opportunities for scholars, researchers, and the public, including the popular Wild & Immersive outdoor program for children and youth.
We can accomplish so much more with facilities built with enhanced safety, sustainability and functionality in mind. Give today and play a role in shaping the future of our forests.
