Animal Welfare Program Student Support Fund
Since its inception in 1997, UBC’s Animal Welfare Program has become one of the world’s largest and most respected programs in the field of animal welfare science. Students have done extensive research and co-published hundreds of scientific articles helping to inform and influence real improvements in the life of animals in BC and around the world.
However, students are facing an affordability crisis due to increasing cost of essentials, such as food, housing and transportation. Because of that, scholarships and other funding may not be enough to meet our graduate students’ financial needs. As a consequence, many students are struggling, with some considering postponing their studies or leaving behind their noble research work.
Your gift to the Animal Welfare Program Student Support Fund will provide a much-needed financial relief for graduate students to continue to engage in critical research to improve the lives of animals in agriculture, science, companionship, society and the wild.
Give today and make a difference in the lives of both students and animals!
