These murals offer a unique learning experience for students that is rarely offered in fine arts departments. This public work by students reaches far beyond the traditional classroom walls and gets them out into the community in meaningful ways, cultivating a vibrant scene of murals here in the Okanagan.

This fund supports the ongoing success of the Field Studio Lab, a dynamic course turning community partnerships into public art murals. Students work in collaboration with the Stober Group, Sunbelt Rentals, the City of Kelowna, the Uptown Rutland Business Association (URBA), and other private businesses, to sponsor public art projects that will serve as hands-on learning experiences for students.
