CEDAR Outreach and Mentorship Program Fund
Empower more Indigenous learners to pursue a future in STEM and help advance healthy lives, create solutions for the planet and shape thriving societies for all.
Indigenous scientists bring unique perspectives to science, technology, engineering and mathematics—enriching the field with knowledge rooted in diverse cultural understandings of the land, water and ecosystems. Their voices are vital to building inclusive approaches to scientific discovery and environmental stewardship, especially as we address complex challenges that impact Indigenous communities in BC.
The CEDAR Outreach and Mentorship Program welcomes Indigenous youth to UBC, immersing them in hands-on science education and university life. From DNA sequencing to lab experiments, CEDAR campers engage in transformative experiences that spark curiosity and inspire them to pursue post-secondary education in STEM.
Every donation helps keep these life-changing opportunities accessible, empowering young Indigenous learners to envision futures where they lead in science and contribute meaningfully to their communities.
Together, we can empower the next generation of Indigenous scientists. Donate today to help the CEDAR Outreach and Mentorship Program contribute to a healthier future for everyone.
