Geering Up Fund
When does someone first decide to become an engineer? For some, that spark happens early in their educational journey. For others, the opportunity never comes.
Geering Up brings hands-on STEM learning experiences to children and youth across BC, sparking curiosity and encouraging innovation. We reach out to equity-deserving communities to reduce the barrier to engineering and bring underrepresented voices to STEM.
Our programs encourage youth to explore their potential by helping them develop a sense of belonging and possibility in fields where their voices and talents are needed most.
Your gift today can provide materials for workshops that immerse students in fun and engaging STEM activities and support important equity-building programs like InSTEM (Indigenous Youth In STEM) and All Girls Camps*.
-
- $250 gives a child without financial resources an equal opportunity to attend one of our week-long summer camps
- $350 sends a child to one of our hands-on weekly club programs
- $465 provides an inner-city school with a day of free workshops
Join us in this mission to empower young learners and inspire the next generation of leaders.
* All cis and trans girls, genderqueer or non-binary people, and those who identify as other gender minorities are welcome.
